When I was little, I used to keep my collection of cardboard things in a plastic container that looked like a little pink trash can.  Back then, I had a rule:  Once something went into the can, it became a permanent part of the collection.  As a result, a lot of little miscellaneous scraps made their way into the collection permanently.

Some of these things include:  A cracker jack prize, the top to an old Squeezit bottle, a little shred of my favorite old blanket, some plastic doodads typically used to hold pairs of socks together, beads, buttons, tinsel, shreds of paper and cardboard, a little paper face, and a few tiny scissor graphics from "cut here" instructions that I apparently decided to save.  The funniest item on the page is probably the big goldish-colored star.  I remember one night my mom asked me to do a chore, and said that if I'd do it, she would give me a gold star.  I had heard this before and was skeptical, so I insisted she actually give me a real gold star if I finished the task.  She was happy to oblige.
